Blue Monday

By piccalilly

BUTTERFLY COLLECTIONI’m rather pleased to see the back of January for many reasons. The final straw was getting stuck in floods on Blue Monday and having to be rescued by a local farmer! I was on my way to a photographic shoot – to complete Piccalilly’s Spring photography. I had a car full of new samples and little models. The day was as bad as I have ever see it in the Yorkshire Dales and 10 miles down the road I decided it was a boat that I needed, not a car. The first flood stopped us in our tracks and at that point I cancelled the shoot, whilst a butcher and a lorry driver waded up to their knees and pushed our car out of the water. I gained composure and headed for home feeling extremely dissappointed. However the return journey got more and more hairy and only a few miles from home, and desperate to get back, I made the mistake of entering yet another flood! On entering I realised it was a BIG mistake. The car chugged to a stop and on opening the car door the water flooded in, filling the car. The kids thought this hilarious and told me to stop crying like a baby because it was embarressing! Lucky for us a local farmer was passing ,and along with a few other helpers (BIG THANKS x), we were rescued and transported home! The car has nearly dried out – although on frosty mornings there is a layer of ice on the inside of the car! And with much juggling we have now finally photographed the samples and hope very soon to be posting lots of lovely new images for you all to see. So heres to a new month, a brighter outlook and better weather.

We’re really excited to get the new images. We especially love the Piccalilly ranges as they are of such good quality as well as being so lovely. Piccalilly was the first brand we decided to stock last year and it was definitely the right decision!
